Tonight, we’ll be creating an exquisite cut-flower bouquet under the tutelage of Yeon Kim, owner of Whispering Flower Farm in Pleasant Valley, Maryland.
We will work with vibrant flowers and foliage that late summer offers and explore what elements in an arrangement contribute to the beauty in the eye of the beholder. Yeon will share best practices for arranging and also share and her secret on how to help lengthen the longevity of our cut stems.
We’ll provide you with a vase, cutting shears, and the flowers. Yeon’s flowers are grown using environmentally-friendly practices, and she pursues diversity, seasonality and a thriving nature in her farm.
For over 20 years, Yeon has cultivated her passion for flowers and vegetables. She is supported by her loving husband who helps her weed, mow, haul, and so much more in her gardens. Class size is limited to 20.
Tonight’s class will include:
Flowers and vase
Garden snippers
Cheese plate
